Located on the west side of the lake 6 miles south of Lakeport. This town is rich in history and dates back to the 1840's. Nancy Kelsey Sewed the first Bear Flag for the State of California from her petty coat material, some say it looks more like a dog than a bear but she did her best. It was used by a rag tag band of men that took General Vallejo's home by storm. General Vallejo surrendered, got them all drunk that night, which ended the Bear Flag revolution. Nancy Kelsey's petty coat was proudly flown on the flag pole, it now hangs on display at General Vallejo's Old Adobe. Kelseyville is  one of the areas largest districts that includes the Clearlake Riviera, Riviera West, Riviera Hights, Buckingham, Soda Bay. Kelseyville is the home of Mount Konocti and the World famous Konocti Harbor Inn. There are two of the finest golf courses located here. World class restaurants, hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, parasailing, boat rental, jet ski rentals,casinos, and live entertainment. Clearlake State Park that is one of the nicest parks anywhere in California with it's many campgrounds, beaches, boat launch, docks, and picturesque scenery. Kelseyville has it all!
